A European project exploring how participatory digital art can open new spaces for climate dialogue, democratic imagination and public engagement.
CLIMART-D: Art for Democracy in Climate Action is a Creative Europe cooperation project that explores how democratic processes can strengthen climate action through participatory digital art. The project brings together young and emerging artists from Germany, Italy and Portugal in transnational artist capsules, supported by partners in Germany, Italy, Denmark and Portugal. Through co-creation, dialogue, Deep Democracy methods and mentorship, the artists will develop contemporary artworks that reflect inclusion, equality, shared responsibility and climate consciousness. The resulting works will be presented through participatory exhibitions in Germany, Italy, Denmark and Portugal, and through an online exhibition designed to extend access, visibility and public dialogue beyond geographic borders.
